Product Overview
The O₂ Hose Assembly is a special purpose hose that is used to transmit Oxygen (O₂) in respiratory care unit machines. These hose assemblies are used to carry oxygen, medical air, nitrous oxide, vacuum and EVAC or waste anesthetic gas disposal. The intended purpose of this hose is to carry oxygen; hence it is color coded as green. Similarly, different color code is applicable for range of gas. Hose assemblies which utilize the Diameter Index Safety System (DISS) shall conform to CGA V-5 for connections and CGA C-9 for colors, unless otherwise specified. To ensure safety by preventing gas leakage this hose has been made with high composite materials. The whole assembly consist of a 3 m hose with a DISS hand tight female connector at one end and a DISS hex nut female connector at the other end. DISS hex nut female is connected to the gas distribution unit whereas DISS hand tight female is connected to the anesthesia machine.
