Product Overview

The Adapter Diameter O₂ Diameter Index Safety System (DISS) M 9/16 -18 is used in oxygen delivery systems. This type of adaptor and coupler is also known as Diamond and Ohio quick-connects. The DISS is a gas station outlet for the supply of medical gases for hospital purpose. It has a unique arrangement of each type of gas to prevent an erroneous connection. The diamond style quick connect adapter is available in a wide variety of gases and configurations, including 1/8", 1/4" MNPT & FNPT (Male National Pipe Thread & Female National Pipe Thread) as well as, 1/4" and 5/16" Hose barbs and much more. It is a male quick connect fitting with male DISS-1240 threads. Allowing oxygen powered devices to plug into a quick-connect on a regulator when attached to the pressure hose. Disconnection is done by twisting a ring around the male connector which operates a spring-release mechanism. The system also contains a valve at the outlet/wall supply side which shuts off gas supply upon disconnection.
